Bill Boorman

Bill Boorman is a veteran of the talent sector, having worked in and around recruiting for the last 44 years.

Bill demonstrates a progressive career, which has followed the digitalisation of hiring. He started work at 16 in a recruiting agency, ultimately serving as a board director of a 130 office staffing company, grown over 14 years.

Bill took his knowledge of the sector, HR and the advent of digital recruiting, launching a European advisory firm working with fast track recruitment companies as NED. With the advent of social media, Boorman was a leader in taking recruitment thinking, and navigating new channels and methods. He was responsible for award winning work with global organisations Hard Rock Cafe, BBC, Oracle, KPMG, Naspers and others. He founded Tru, an event series for recruiting and HR professionals in over 60 countries across the globe, building an enviable network. He is a sought after speaker and commentator on the evolution of hiring, and people in general.

Boorman has been advising start ups and growth companies in talent and HR technology, with 8 exits to date of advisory companies.

He is currently Strategic Advisor and board member to Capital D investment VONQ, and sits on the board of Placed App, StaffCircle and RecruitmentSmart.
